I think I like to treat the second season as something extra to the first, like a fantasy sequence. The ending looks ambiguous to me, claiming all rumours about Stuart and Vince are true and all that. Do you think it's possible for Stuart to get away with arson, and for Vince to stir such turmoil in his supermarket staff meeting?
I tend to think that the eighth episode of Season One presents a logical ending (an open ending though) while the second is kind of a whimsical idea of Russells...like the what if...fantasy. But we all enjoy that, don't we? :))
Stuart needs Vince. Look at how he acts after Vince left with Cameroon after that spectacular birthday party he threw at Vince. He lost his charm (LOL he can't seduce the man in art museum), and he nearly got hooked up with that man who accidentally killed Phil. OH MO GOD!
And remember Stuart's "that was good enough for me" confession? ;) It says all~ We should thank Nathan for that.
