I was always into western music, and musicals are the most welcomed kind of film for me. From "The Sound Of Music" and "Singing In The Rain" to "Moulin Rouge" and "Chicago", every production gave me the splendidly wonderful feeling of enjoying the merge of two of my favorite art forms at the same time.

And Moulin Rouge, Starring two of my favorite artists, Nicole and Evan, came out as the king of the musicals for me. In this dreamy and spectacular journey of the quest for love, freedom, truth, and beauty, every song was so familiar and heart-catching for me. The wildness and lust of "Material Girl", the pain and wisdom of "Nature Boy" , the emotion and affection of "Your Song", the heat and dancing craze of "Lady Marmalade", the willingness and tears of "One Day I Will Fly Away"...every single piece of melody makes me lost in the smothering beauty of this grand show.
而《红磨坊》，有着两位我最推崇的演员尼克基德曼和伊万麦克格里格挑梁的影片，当仁不让的成为了这些音乐剧中我的最爱。在这部绚烂绝美的向爱情、自由、真理和美丽探求的征途上，每一首歌听起来都那样的熟悉动人。从《物质女孩》中的物欲横流，到《智者》中流露的痛苦和睿智，从《你的歌》中奔腾不息的热情和爱恋，到《麻辣女孩》震动耳鼓的热力和节奏，再到《终有一天我会自由飞翔》中被压抑的希冀和泪水……每一段旋律都能让我沉醉于这场梦幻般的表演。
What made me fall deeply for this movie, however, was the pure love between the showgirl and the poet, which could take them to the top of the world and cure the fatal disease suffered by the showgirl. Love is a wonderful gift that god gave to the human kind. And only because of love could we achieve what seems out of reach, and because of which even the greedy Rouge owner raised his fist to the evil duke in the end.
让我最为震撼的，是诗人和歌女间真挚的爱情。这份爱可以让他们漫步于世界之巅，可以拯救歌女脆弱的生命。爱是上帝给予人类最伟大的礼物。只有爱能给我们超乎想象的力量，来实现遥不可及的梦想，就像在影片的最后，爱使得贪婪的老板举起了打向邪恶男爵的拳头那样。
Moulin Rouge is a place of lust, a place of money, a place of devil. But also it could be the ultimate bassinet for the most moving love and the only Moulin Rouge.
