Jeminai, (Toffee Calma)a gay impersonator of a dying gaybar who known to be the jinx of the bar he's been supervising with his boyfriend Cris (Kristoffer King) as his macho dancer boyfriend whose unfortunately become impotent that's they both having a "hard time" with their relationship and the sales of the bar. Til they met Topher(Topher Barretto) a naive promdi whose searching for his childhood friend, and every gray things became colored.
The movie tells about the story of inside a gay bar, and the other side of some macho dancers.
“Showboyz“ is Toffee Calma’s movie comeback, his role in the movie is a drag queen who is a former macho dancer and a manager of the gaybar. He potrays the role of Jemenai, in order to save his sinking gaybar he transform herself again to a macho dancer.
Toffee Calma is a sexy actor, who portrayed as a gay mamasang in the independent film movie Showboyz. The said indie film will have it's screening tomorrow, February 11, 2009 in UP Film Institute, Diliman, Quezon City.
The said film became controversial after a reported frontal nudity of one of the actor named Kristoffer King. This is not the first time that Kristoffer played a daring role. Some of his films includes Masahista and Serbis. I wonder if Toffee and Kristoffer will have a sensual scene in this movie. Why not? Lol!
