Randy Harrison and Bob Ari Will See Red at the George Street Playhouse

Casting has been announced for the George Street Playhouse's upcoming production of the Tony-winning John Logan play Red, which will begin performances at the New Jersey venue Jan. 31.
Directed by Anders Cato, the production will officially open Feb. 3 for a limited engagement through Feb. 26.
A co-production with Cleveland Playhouse, the cast will feature Bob Ari (Broadway’s Frost/Nixon) as Rothko and Randy Harrison (Broadway’s Wicked, Showtime’s "Queer as Folk") as Ken.

<Red>内容概要:
"There is only one thing I fear in life, my friend... One day the black will swallow the red."
Mark Rothko is in his New York studio in 1958-9, painting a group of murals for the expensive and exclusive Four Seasons restaurant. He gives orders to his assistant, Ken, as Mark mixes the paints, makes the frames, and paints the canvases. Ken, however, brashly questions Rothko's theories of art and his acceding to work on such a commercial project.
